At the West and Central Fife Planning Committee today, a Planning Application for a Home Bargains just north of the Calais Woods in Dunfermline was rejected. Liberal Democrat Councillor Aude Boubaker-Calder, who represents the Dunfermline Central ward where this application is set in, has welcomed the decision.
Cllr. Boubaker-Calder has said,
Leave a comment“The Planning Committee made a common-sense decision to reject this Planning Application. A residential area is not the right area and, as mentioned in the papers, plenty of City Centre and retail park locations are already available for this kind of business.
“The wide-scale public opposition is testament to this unsuitability. I hope companies such as Home Bargains take stock – we have a great City Centre and retail park and I would encourage all businesses to use the facilities there to invest in.”
